Located in Pinal County, Silverado Ranch, a 556-acre development, was planned by EPS and approved by Pinal County in 2004. This property is one of two private holdings in this part of Pinal County. The property is surrounded by State Trust Land, and has a brief encounter with the Magma Arizona Railroad at its southeast corner.
Neighborhoods are nestled within the existing riparian and new open space corridors. A proposed eighteen-acre school site is centrally located and accessible not only by internal roads but also from each neighborhood through the trail system. Neighborhood or “pocket” parks will be constructed within each neighborhood to serve as tot lots, playgrounds and for retention. These areas will be tied into the trail system and open space corridors.
The concept of Silverado Ranch allows people to live in harmony with the desert’s plants and animals, and provides wildlife corridors that connect to open space areas and corridors adjacent to the property. Important natural features include several washes which contain native riparian vegetation. Some of these washes are considered as “jurisdictional” by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
