Project
EPS Group provided landscape architecture, survey, and civil engineering for a 37-acre master plan for Cannon Beach.
The 37-acre master plan for this unique, state of the art, mixed-use entertainment—commercial development was designed around a central surf park to reinvent a true contemporary work, stay and play premier destination and attraction for active entertainment, retail/dining, hospitality, office and progressive surfing experience. The atmosphere at Cannon Beach was designed to bridge the gap between Sun, Sand and Surf providing an experiential park and outdoor spaces—all immersed with views of an oceanside character and the sound of crashing waves breaking in the desert sun. The master plan development offers a 2.0-acre wave lagoon for professional surfing with a cliff diving area, restaurant, beach areas, unit wave, cabanas and lounge seating; a 4-story, 150-room hotel; two, 3-story 78,000 square foot office buildings, restaurant row along the pedestrian boardwalk, a conditioning gym, over 117,000 square feet of industrial / flex / commercial space for experiential entertainment such as, 360-karting, Circus Trix and The Void with competition courses, and augmented and virtual reality uses; high-end restaurant / commercial pads, tree-lined streets with on-street parking; and five different outdoor entertainment plazas with an event stage, seating areas, fire pits, water features, shade canopies, and signature palm tree courts.
