This Applied Technology Campus addition and expansion is a purpose-built workforce education hub specializing in automotive, diesel, precision agriculture, wind and industrial maintenance, and welding technologies, designed to connect students directly with employers and industry skills. The campus expansion—which added approximately 39,000-square-feet to an existing facility totaling roughly 54,000-square-feet was supported through significant capital funding. The project earned LEED Gold certification for sustainable site development, energy performance, and indoor environmental quality. Native landscaping and solar generation complement high-efficiency systems and daylighting strategies, while interior spaces foster hands-on learning, collaboration, and community connection. The project reflects NJC’s commitment to innovative, environmentally responsible design that enhances student outcomes and regional workforce development.
