IronOaks Park at Sun Lakes is the next phase of improvements within the Sun Lakes community and will be the newest park amenity near the Oakwood Country Club and the Golf Clubhouse. The iconic 1.8-acre park will be developed on a remnant parcel and will provide both passive and active amenities for residents, visitors, and guests. Through the collaboration with Dye Golf Consultants, a 9-hole championship putting course was designed as one of the signature elements within the park and a key to the golf clubhouse for competitive league and individual player tournaments. Other amenities include a focal picnic pavilion with a clock tower, four bocce ball courts, a memorial plaza with seating, shade structures, and the great lawn for neighborhood or private events. As part of the improvements, the team added additional cart parking and cart stacking spaces to accommodate golf tournament events and golf cart overflow parking.
