Town of Wickenburg | Wickenburg, Arizona

The Town of Wickenburg, located in Maricopa County, Arizona, contracted EPS Group to replace the existing 4-inch waterlines with new 8-inch lines and to replace existing fire hydrants within the project area on Washington Street between Wickenburg Way and Yavapai Street. The project also included 15 service reconnections that were designed and constructed in a manner that minimized water service interruption for customers.

EPS Group provided pre-design and design services for the project. To ensure minimal construction issues, EPS Group first conducted potholing of the existing lines and other utilities to gather information about the waterlines. The new waterlines were designed and constructed to meet the current water system standards and to improve the water supply for the area.

In addition to waterline replacement, EPS Group provided pavement replacement for all streets, installation and replacement of sidewalks, and replacement of existing storm drain catch basins within the project area. This was part of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funded project that aimed to improve the infrastructure of the town.

EPS Group assisted the Town of Wickenburg with the bidding process by reviewing bids and recommending an award. The post-design services provided by EPS Group included construction administration and processing the project through the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department for the Approval of Construction.

Overall, EPS Group ensured that the project was designed and constructed in a manner that minimized inconvenience to the customers and improved the water supply for the area. The new waterlines and other infrastructure improvements are expected to serve the community for many years to come.
