Canyon State Academy is a reputable all-boys alternative high school located in Queen Creek, Arizona. The academy has a strong athletic legacy that dates back to the 1990s, thanks to the involvement of Frank Kush as the Executive Administrator of the Advisory Board. Kush, a renowned football coach, played a vital role in establishing the athletic complex that bore his name on the CSA’s campus. The complex housed a football program that achieved three undefeated seasons between 1995 and 1998.
As part of Canyon State Academy’s ongoing expansion plan, the school has recently invested in the development of a regulation high school baseball field and amenities on the western side of the gymnasium. The sports complex expansion project is designed to provide state-of-the-art sports facilities to enhance the overall student experience. The new baseball venue features the latest infield materials and sports turf to create a premium and competitive playing environment. The stadium includes bleacher seating, dugouts, and innovative stadium fencing.
To create a park-like setting near the entrance of the stadium, future amenities will include a scoreboard, a grassy area offering additional outfield seating, and shade trees. EPS Group master planned the project, which included sports field lighting, practice fields, concession space, restroom facilities, and a ticketing pavilion to be constructed in later phases. EPS Group provided civil engineering and surveying services for the project, including topographic and boundary surveys, grading, drainage, water and sewer design, and construction administration.
The new baseball field is expected to enhance the athletic legacy of Canyon State Academy and provide students with a high-quality sports experience.
