Our History
Growing since 2003 because of our client relationships
Started by seven founding members who shared an entrepreneurial vision, EPS Group, Inc. quickly became known for providing unparalleled expertise in multi-disciplinary services as a locally-owned, Arizona-based civil engineering firm. With the conviction to be privately-owned, the leadership team launches their suite of services to meet the growing infrastructure needs of the state.
With 13 employees at the start, the team’s reputation grows quickly based on the quality of their work, and demand for their services increases their size to 55 by the end of 2005.
EPS Group sees the dawn of accelerated growth in projects, people, and revenue. With brighter times ahead, the number of employees grows to 70. As part of an evolution in branding, the original magenta and teal colored logo used since the company’s inception is updated.
Significant economic growth and further diversification of services causes employee count to increase to 135. Rising national awareness and attention supports the firm winning the 2016 APWA award. Expansion in locations, projects, and services fuels a fundamental shift in the company’s approach to business.
Signaling the inclusion of all multidisciplinary services, the company’s name is changed to EPS Group, Inc. in preparation for regional expansion. Offices in Goodyear, Arizona and later Loveland, Colorado become additional hubs for innovation for the firm.
The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) awards EPS Group, Inc. first place for the America’s Transportation Award (West Region) for Quality of Life/Community Development. The firm is ranked a #7 firm in the Southwest and awarded Firm of the Year by ENR. The pandemic enhances the firm’s family-first values, supporting a newly-established Work Your Way policy.
Northern Engineering, a well-respected civil engineering and surveying firm in Northern Colorado, merges under EPS Group to become better together in pursuit of expansion throughout the front range. Northern Engineering brings a robust team of well-rooted professionals, and the firm’s nearly 40-year history provides local, unmatched expertise in the area.
